چکیده English

Rasht, as one of the important cities in northern Iran, possesses rich cultural characteristics while simultaneously being influenced by the dynamics of modernization and globalization. Given the importance of the discussion around cultural capital, the present study, using field research methods, survey techniques, and a questionnaire as a research tool, seeks to answer the main question: Is there a relationship between the tendency towards national identity and cultural capital among the citizens of Rasht? The statistical population of this research includes all citizens aged 18 and above in Rasht, of whom 384 were selected as the sample size. Data analysis was performed using SPSS software and Smart PLS structural equation modeling. The research results indicate a positive, direct, and significant relationship between the tendency towards national identity (P=0.34) and its indicators-political identity (P=0.38), territorial identity (P=0.32), cultural identity (P=0.28), historical identity (P=0.23), and religious identity (P=0.43)-with cultural capital among the citizens. Therefore, all research hypotheses are confirmed. Furthermore, the results from the structural equation model (Smart PLS) show that the tendency towards national identity has a moderate effect on cultural capital (0.45), and the national identity variable explains a total of 21% of the variance in the cultural capital variable.
