Abstract
Migration is one of the major elements of demographic process change and the main mechanism of population distribution and redistribution over time. Migration is a complex phenomenon that occurs with time, culture, and social conditions in response to economic and social needs and cultural developments arising from the flow of demographic changes, at the national and international levels. The concept of migration includes four specific dimensions, including change in place, residence, time, and activity. Migration, as one of the demographic and social phenomena, has an important and central position in urban studies in recent decades. The context of migration and the consequences of migration for places of origin and destination are among the important topics of interest to social researchers.
This research aimed to sociologically investigate the factors affecting the tendency of secondary school teachers to migrate outside the four districts of Ahwaz, Khuzestan province. The research method was a survey and a questionnaire was used to collect the required information. The statistical population in this study is 1263 high school teachers in the four districts of Khuzestan province in Ahvaz, of which 295 were selected by simple random sampling using the Cochran formula. To analyze the data in this study, independent t-test, one-way analysis of variance, Pearson correlation coefficient and multivariate regression (using SPSS version 28 software) were used.
