Abstract

Crime prevention, as a major corrective and action solution, is based on a series of regulations and laws that have been established and approved with the aim of standardizing and systematizing action responses to crime. These laws and regulations, which constitute the most important source of "crime prevention rights" or "preventive structures", have been facing many damages and fundamental challenges in recent years, both from a substantive and a formal perspective; Challenges that have seriously damaged the foundations and strategic principles of preventive structures and have made them face a kind of "identity crisis". Therefore, in order to give identity to preventive structures and maintain their position, they should be studied and evaluated from the perspective of critical criminology, such as Marxist criminology, cultural criminology, postmodern criminology, feminist criminology, green criminology, etc. Based on this, the author's goal in the upcoming article will be to explain the effects of applying the teachings of critical criminology on preventive structures in Iran. The research method is descriptive-analytical, which has been collected and analyzed with the method of content analysis and inductive information in the library method. The results indicate that the theorization of power relations in the process of criminalization and correctional measures and the recognition of correctional institutions is one of the main effects of applying the teachings of critical criminology to preventive structures in Iran.
