Explaining the behavioral pattern of recognizing the opportunity to prepare for social entepreneurship (Case Study: students of Shahid Chamran University of Ahvaz)

Abstract

Social entrepreneurship is a process in which individuals, groups and social sectors work voluntarily to create value from social assets that remain unused and to recognize the opportunities arising from social assets and to solve social issues through mutual cooperation and cooperation. Based on this, the aim of the current research is to explain the behavioral pattern of recognizing opportunities for social entrepreneurship. This research is based on the practical purpose and based on the way of collecting data from the type of research it is descriptive-correlative. The statistical population of this research is the students of Shahid Chamran University of Ahvaz, a total of 406 people were considered as the sample size. The necessary data were collected based on the questionnaire by simple random sampling method. For data analysis, structural equation modeling by partial least squares method was used in PLS software. The findings of the research showed that social capital, social empathy and entrepreneurship education have a positive and significant effect on the dimensions of opportunity recognition behavior (being alert and active). The institutional-regulatory environment has a negative and significant effect on the dimension of alertness, but it does not have a significant effect on the dimension of being active. On the other hand, the institutional-normative environment did not have a significant effect on the dimensions of opportunity recognition behavior (being alert and active) and finally, the dimensions of opportunity recognition behavior (being alert and active) have a positive and significant effect on the readiness for social entrepreneurship.
