[English]

This paper aimed to explain the dimensions, components and indicators of performance management model based on sustainable development in higher education and to present an effective model. The research was a mixed study. In the qualitative stage, 15 persons were selected by purposive sampling from the ministry's performance management experts for semi-structured interviews. In the quantitative stage, simple random samples were selected from the staff and managers of the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology (170 people) to complete the researcher-made questionnaire. Data were collected and analyzed using inductive qualitative content analysis based on open, axle and selective coding of interview concepts. In the pivotal coding stage based on thematic similarity of 26 categories and 5 political, social, environmental, economic and cultural categories, the selection and performance management based on sustainable development was identified as the main variable. Quantitative section was performed using structural equation modeling with partial least squares (PLS) method and R2, Q2, GOF and F2 criteria were calculated for structural model and measurement models, all of which had permissible and acceptable values and indicated the model's approval.
