Study of Unemployment from Perspective of Rural the Unemployed and It`S Consequences (Case Study: Hassan Abad Village, Delfan)

Abstract

Unemployment is a problem that influences on all aspects of individual`s life and his family. This research carried out in order to discover of various aspects of unemployment from perspective of the unemployed and identify it`s consequences. The research applied grounded theory and deep interview technic. Hassan Abad village, located at Delfan, in Lorestan county selected for study, because it has unemployment rate higher than average of Iran. In sum, we did 17 interviews with rural unemployed men, and extracted 117 concepts from those. From 117 extracted concepts, we reach to six categories: (a) Isolationism, (b) Self-deprivation, (c) Killing time, (d) Blame others, (e) Priority of primitive needs, and (f) Tendency to unusual ways of acquire wealth. Central category of the research is “isolated and excluded unemployed”, that explains other constructed categories. Results show that unemployment have serious consequences for individual, the family and society, and if don`t conflict against its, Poverty Culture create, establish and institutionalize in the unemployed` life.
