The main objective of this study was to evaluate the social and cultural consequences of dam construction project of Karoon-3 that implemented using qualitative methods. Research findings show that people who are affected by the negative effects of the dam 3 include: Families moved from their location, host communities and the acceptor and communities living in the fringes of the Karun River. The most important consequence of the Karun-3 dam destruction of traditional production systems and the rural exodus to the cities. This leads to a loss of identity, the loss of solidarity and the extended family relations, individuality, and isolation, the increase in, and the border finally, poverty and unemployment is down and crime.
